Questions & Answers

Frequently asked questions.

Straightforward answers about filing options, fees, official resources and the scope of administrative assistance.

Is the Founding 10 really free?

Brixen's service fee is waived for accepted Founding 10 clients. Mandatory government and third-party costs—state filing, publication, licensing, registered agent, certified copies, rush and payment-processing fees—remain the client's responsibility.

Do you provide legal or tax advice?

No. Brixen Filing Services is an administrative filing and document-preparation service, not a law firm, CPA firm or tax adviser. Legal and tax decisions belong with qualified professionals.

Can you guarantee state approval?

No. Formation and other filings are decided by the state or agency.

Do you provide registered-agent service?

Not presently. Registered-agent coordination or referral may be available.

Is an EIN free?

Yes. The IRS does not charge for EIN issuance. Any Brixen fee covers optional administrative assistance only.

What happens after the first 10?

Standard service pricing applies unless another promotion is announced.

How do I get started?

Email us to request a scope review. We confirm your state, existing entity records and the administrative work you need. Paid work begins only after a written scope, quote and your authorization. Please do not email SSNs, EINs, ID documents, payment details or files.

Can I file directly with my state?

Yes. Use your state’s official business filing website and pay the required government fees directly. Brixen’s administrative assistance would be optional, not a requirement to form a business.

What is the difference between the formation packages?

Formation Essentials covers formation coordination, an organized launch checklist and guidance to the free IRS EIN path; it does not include an EIN application service. Complete Business Launch adds EIN administrative application assistance when needed and properly authorized, plus organized startup documents and copies of actual confirmations.

Can I choose EIN assistance on its own?

The Standalone EIN Assistance option is intended for existing businesses that need an EIN and do not already have one. Not every business requires a new EIN.

How would fees work?

Listed amounts are planning estimates for scope discussion. A written scope and quote would separate Brixen’s administrative service fee from government filing fees. No payments are taken through this website.

Are veteran business resources free?

You can access the linked public resources without Brixen or a referral fee. VBOC mentoring, IRS EIN issuance, SAM registration and SBA VetCert certification are free. Any future Brixen assistance would cover separately authorized administrative deliverables, not access to those resources.

Does veteran ownership guarantee VetCert eligibility?

No. Eligibility requires at least 51% genuine veteran ownership and control, along with the applicable program requirements. Certification is free and decided by SBA. Resource suggestions are not eligibility determinations.

Will these resources secure a startup grant?

No funding, grant or contract is guaranteed. SBA does not provide ordinary business-startup grants. Confirm each program’s requirements and availability with the administering agency.

Do you help with VA benefits claims?

No. Brixen does not prepare, present or prosecute VA claims, help apply for benefits, collect disability details or charge benefit-related fees. We are not a VA-accredited claims service. Use the linked official VA resources to find accredited help.

Are you affiliated with government or veteran agencies?

No. Brixen is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the government or veteran agencies linked on this site.

Would SAM support require my Login.gov password?

Never share your Login.gov password. Official SAM registration is free. Any future authorized administrative support would leave account control with you.

Is Brixen a government agency or law firm?

No. Brixen is an independent administrative services company, not a government agency or law firm. We do not provide legal, tax or accounting advice.

Can you guarantee approval?

No. Filing decisions belong to the relevant agency. Administrative preparation and coordination cannot guarantee approval.

Which states would you support?

Any future engagement would depend on the jurisdiction, permitted tasks and agreed scope. We do not represent nationwide coverage.

Do you prepare nonprofit tax-exemption applications?

No. Nonprofit incorporation and an EIN do not establish federal tax exemption. Consult a qualified attorney or tax professional about tax-exemption applications.

Does a Kansas resident agent need a physical office?

Yes. Kansas requires a physical Kansas street office; a P.O. box or virtual PMB is not a substitute. A qualifying domestic-entity agent must be in good standing, keep its registered and business offices identical and have that office generally open. Brixen does not claim a qualifying office or active appointment coverage.

Can an existing business switch resident agents?

Yes, subject to the applicable Kansas filing and formal authorization. The current ROA instructions list a $30 online state change-agent fee for most for-profit entities; other categories and filing methods may differ. That state fee is separate from Brixen’s proposed annual service fee. Exploring this site does not appoint Brixen or submit a change.

What do the reporting plans cover?

The proposed $99/year Compliance Reminder Plan covers client-specified Kansas deadline calendars and notice reminders, not lawsuits, legal monitoring or completed filings. The proposed $299/year Managed Filing Administration plan coordinates one routine annual/biennial Kansas information/report filing per agreed annual service period, using client-approved facts and a written reporting timeframe, with actual filed confirmation. It excludes state fees, resident-agent appointment, formation, amendments, other states and repeat filings. Neither guarantees good standing or automatically completes an obligation.

Are subscriptions or renewals automatic?

No. Annual programs are separate opt-in services, never automatically bundled with formation or EIN work. Each would require a written scope, service dates, renewal and cancellation terms. No reminder system, renewal billing or enrollment is active. Any reminder overlap with managed filing must be disclosed in writing to prevent double billing.

Are annual government fees included?

No. Proposed annual Brixen fees cover only the agreed service. Applicable state information/report and change-agent filing charges are separate and must be verified for the entity category and filing method. The $299 administration plan includes coordination of one routine report, not the state’s charge or additional filings.

Is a client portal available?

No. There are no client accounts, uploads or document storage on this website.

Can I send personal or taxpayer information here?

No. The public Founding 10 application stores only the limited low-risk fields identified in the Privacy notice. Do not submit SSNs, EINs or tax IDs, IDs, payment details, passwords, signatures, medical or military records, or sensitive filing documents there. Sensitive filing information is requested only after acceptance, through a more appropriate process.
